Firm Profile

Milman Labuda Law Group is an employment and labor law firm founded in 1988 by Lawrence I. Milman and Perry S. Heidecker, graduates of Fordham Law School and Albany Law School respectively. Milman Labuda Law Group is engaged solely in the representation of management in the field of employment and labor relations.

The firm is committed to providing effective solutions to complex labor and employment law issues. The hallmark of the firm's employment and labor law practice is preventive counseling. We advise our clients on a continuing basis to assist them in the developing and implementing sound personnel practices to insure compliance with the law and to avoid costly litigation. The firm's practice includes such traditional areas of management-union relations as collective bargaining, grievance and interest arbitration, representation and unfair labor practice hearings, union representation, elections and strikes.

The firm's practice also includes such emerging areas as employment discrimination. The firm has a complete litigation department in which it represents its clients in administrative proceedings and court actions involving many types of labor and employment claims.

In addition to his varied experience over the past thirty-five years in labor and employment law, Mr. Milman has been engaged in several multi-employer bargaining negotiations in the metropolitan New York area. Included among them were the meat industry negotiations with Local 174, United Food and Commercial Workers Union in 1980, 1983, 1986, 1992 and 1995; the garment industry trucking negotiations with Local 102, International Ladies Garment Workers Union in 1981, 1984, 1987, 1990, 1993 and 1996, the Greater New York Metropolitan Cadillac Dealers Association with Local 259, U.A.W. in 1965, 1968, 1971, 1974, 1977, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1987, 1990, 1994 and 1997, the New York Corrugated Industry with District 65, U.A.W. in 1974, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1992 and 1996; and other small associations through the years.
