Since entering private practice, Mr. Milman has been engaged solely in the representation of management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including representing clients in state and federal court discrimination lawsuits; wage hour collective actions, administrative proceedings and traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union avoidance campaigns. He has also handled arbitrations with respect to discharge and other disciplinary grievances, failure to promote, and contract interpretation. In Addition, Mr. Milman has been active, representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board on such matters as unfair labor practice charges, representation petitions, unit clarification and secondary boycotts. Also, Mr. Milman counsels clients with respect to a wide range of employment issues, including discharge, discipline and other personnel problems; sexual harassment investigations; family and medical leave issues; employment agreements; separation agreements; reductions-in-force; contact administration; independent contractor status; drug-testing; alternative dispute resolution programs; drafting and revises handbooks, leave policies, harassment policies, employment applications and other personnel materials. Mr. Milman conducts training sessions for the Human Resources Department and business managers regarding various employment and labor law subjects.
