Matthew Brown is a partner of Milman Labuda Law Group PLLC. Mr. Brown’s practice focuses on all aspects of labor and employment law. He regularly represents employers in a wide range of industries, including food service, building service, construction, transportation, automotive, trucking, retail and warehousing. Mr. Brown offers distinctive expertise to corporate clients in his practice including defense of class and collective actions along with claims of discrimination, harassment, violations of wage and hour laws, breach of contract, and restrictive covenants on behalf of employers in all industries. He has extensive experience litigating/appearing before the federal and state courts of appeals, federal and state lower courts, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, NYS Division of Human Rights, NYC Commission on Human Rights, U.S. Department of Labor and N.Y.S. Department of Labor, along with various other federal, state and local administrative agencies. His practice also includes vast experience representing corporations in daily labor and employment counseling.

Mr. Brown’s experience includes winning a landmark jury trial verdict for his client who filed suit against a former employer for violation of the duty of loyalty under the “Faithless-Servant Doctrine.” Mr. Brown then successfully obtained dismissal of unpaid wage claims filed by that employee in a related federal lawsuit filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Brown also advises management on employment contracts, employee handbooks and employee discipline.
